New RX8 owner
This is my first post on here, so thought I would start with an introduction.
My name is Chris and can be classified as an obsessive car freak.
I am pretty open minded regarding car brands, but do have my favorites.
Yes I work for a Nuclear facility, and no I don't glow in the dark

BigCajun - I see you stated yours is a GT.
In SA we were only given the option of 5 spd "standard", or the 6spd "hi power" with 0 options.
However, the 6 spd came equipped with the following as standard:
Xenon lights
Heated/electric leather seats
Sunroof
Automatic climate control
LSD
Unfortunately no Cruise control and no Bose sound?
What spec level would that put it into?

Incthe states that would be a Sport model... however the Sport does not come with the sunroof. The Touring adds Bose and moonroof. So your 8 is somewhat in between. Different versions for different markets. Would love to see some interior pics! Do you know any history on the car?

Thanks mazdaverx7.
This is the only pic I have of the interior.
The reason for that is because I still want to detail the interior, and secondly - The light conditions were way off for interior shots
The only history I have of the car is that it was sold on 18 Dec 2006/registered in '07.
All invoices are in the booklet of the 4 services it went for at the Mazda dealership.
Second owner bought the car in 2012 with 11 000km on the clock, and I got it last week.

I'm pretty sure that heated leather seats makes it a GT here.

Thanks everyone.
04Green - I have read through that thread a while ago. Really interesting. I am actually a long time lurker over here
BTW - Over the past 2 years I have test driven and looked at at least 14 RX8s before I actually pulled the trigger on one last month.
But then on my way back home from the dealership, I got stuck next to the road. Took it back to them the next day, and they are still trying to fix it. I cancelled the deal on that day I took the car back, and I am so happy I did, otherwise I would have missed this one.
Apparently the fuel pump on the other one starts overheating if one drives further than 20miles, so they are waiting for a new pump to arrive due to no stock.
The previous car was an '05 and had 70k miles on it. It was a good looking car and went extremely well, but it wasn't even in the same league as this one.
