the rx8 is a fun car to drive. I have a 2004 model manuale and I'm always having this car wide open on the road. I had mines about 6 mounths now.

Congrats and Welcome to the club..

Read the new owners thread until you have memorized it..it packs tremendous info for your 8.

Also, did you get a compression test done at mazda?
If not, do it asap to know how healthy your engine is or if it needs replacement.

Good Luck

Please help me

PLEASE HELP ME!!
My rx8 has been down for almost a year it!
What happened was I was pulling out of a store and as I was driving down the road it wouldn't accelerate then it started like chugging I would say. It felt like I had a flat tire.
So I stopped to check if I did and I didn't so I got back in and tried to drive away but it wouldn't go over 15 mph so I pulled into a store shut it off and it hasn't started since....
Please message me if you have any ideas literally anything would help....

No I didn't have a compression test done. I plan on doing so soon. I will say though that the car has a clean service record on all maintenance and service. The previous owner was a fanatic so I'm not overly worried about it. None the less it will be done for good measure since I only have a couple years left with the mazda core warranty! Thanks for the warm welcome!

Yes definitely get that compression test done. While all the maintenance may be done and it has a clean record, doesn't mean the car has good compression. Many users on the forum will tell you that they have had engines that run almost perfect but compression was sub par.

Keep on top of the maintenance, listen to her when shes telling you something is wrong and all will be well. Welcome aboard!
