Welcome, H. Don't worry about the Honda thing. There are a number of recovering ex-Honda owners here. I'm one myself. I even kept my Honda Accord for three or four years after getting my 8.

And I still have a Honda Harmony.

Just come to the meetings and admit what you are.

Ken

Thank you for answering my question. I Appreciate when people can just answer a question instead of saying stupid things like search or read this or that. I mean thats the point of a forum to help each other out. If I just wanted to search ill use google.

Just highlighting how many times you have typed "lol" in the middle of your sentances so far.

Having fun is one thing, but treating everything as a joke doesn't get you very far. The answer to your question is in an annoucement in big blue letters next to the button that you needed to click to create this thread. I'm not really sure how to point that out with out making it sound disparaging at the moment.

So yes, reading some more will help smooth your stay here too...

Oh I don't think that I will ever leave hondas alone. I love them cars for what they can do and how they can perform. But I always wanted to get into a rwd car also. I always wanted a 240sx but they are always over price. I came along my 8 on a trade for a truck I had and ever since I saw my uncles 8 I just love the look of it. I must admit not that big of the engine but I can live with it.

Between both post I did I only put lol 3 times. Whats the nigh deal on that. And my question could have been answer simply by putting what the other guy said. Not all that ignorant thing. Because it was a simple question that by some one righting a simple answer save me time in having to go searching for it. Simply put bro your answer was not nice and very rude.

My first ones where accords then civics. I had 2 accords a 88 and a 99 and 4 civics a 93 and 2 97 and my current one is a 99 hatch. My 93 hatch was a single cam on boost 280whp then I put that motor in my 97 coupe build the head tune it to 400whp. Had a few issue with the clutch. Then I came across my 99 hatch and now I'm building a ls/vtec to hold 400+whp on low boost. Honestly I live my hondas I'm all about function>form. All good name brand parts and jdm parts no rice ****. But I got big plans for this 8. Drift time lol

You will find that RIWWP is one of the most helpful people on these forums. Just do your best to search for an answer before you ask your question

^ oh boy what a way to welcome the new member haha welcome to the family, Hlover1! RIWWP really doesn't mean to be mean, if you click around rx8club you'll see people stress his patience to the limits. A LOT of the issues I've researched were answered by him when I searched and found relevant posts, props to his wealth of knowledge. Let's all get along. What year & color is it, what mods have you added if any, how are you liking it, pros / cons, etc?

Thanks for the welcome. It's a 04 black 6speed. The moods it got are rims some coilovers custom exhaust and a double din. All done be the previous owner. Right now I'm fixing all the crap as work they did to it and bring it up to my standards. So far I love how it looks. Don't like the fact that it be having so many stupid issues. But let's see how I like it. I have to give it some time. Honestly I would love to do a engine swap. Not really likeing the rotary. To high maintenance lol

So you bought an Rx8 and you don't like rotaries. Well, you just made a bad mistake

I was hoping to do a swap in my 8 when I bought it dead. Jumped in the deal quickly before I lost my chance and didn't have a lot of time to research a swap.

Turns out it will take 5 figures just to get started.

I now have a strong running rotary and love the hell out of it.

not everyone 'gets' a rotary . Open your mind to the possibility that it might just grow on you over time and thoughts of an engine swap may well disappear !
You will want more power though ................
