New RX-8 Owner in Texas

Just traded my 5 spd Scion tC in for an RX-8, had it for 5 years and was ready for a sports car. I had a week off from work so I travelled to all the major cities in Texas looking for a sports car I'd like, I drove G35s, Audi A4s, and S4s, an S2000, and I settled on an RX-8. Finally found a gem in Austin this weekend at the Audi dealer.

I got a near even trade, the 8 has 63,000 miles on it. The previous owner left every record of anything he did with the car in the glove-box including a record of a new engine, clutch, steering rack, and many other things done at the Mazda dealer next to where I bought it at 62,300 miles in February. The guy had multiple cars and kept it garaged. He left his contact info and what he traded it in for in the glove box. Guy was a Senior Computer Engineer at Intel. Traded for a 2012 M3.

Went to the Mazda dealer he listed Saturday with the car and they confirmed everything. Everyone there knew the guy and said he took car of it.

The interior is almost new and the paint glows, absolutely no fade. Everything works, including the seat warmers which have not worked on an RX8 I tested. I made a 600 mile drive with it yesterday and was quite pleased. Even averaged 21.8 mpg.

Just wanted to introduce myself. I probably won't post much since I seem to be able to find everything by searching. I've already read all the new member info and the general info about the RX8 so I know not to start another thread about oil.

This is actually true. There are so many red. My first color choice was winning blue. I was willing to drive up to 500 miles to get one with decent mileage in a 6 spd and leather but there were none. Black was a no go since my last car was black. I'll see if I have a pic.
