New RX-8 owner here!

What have I gotten myself into?

Hello everyone my name is Alyssa. I honestly do not know very much at all about cars and it looks like I have a WHOLE lot of learning to do! I've had my 2007 rx-8 for about 3 days now and so far I love it! It has 85,000 miles. I'm hoping I haven't gotten myself into more than I can handle.

This car is super high maintenance eh? I'm taking it for an oil change next week to be safe and the guy says he is going to check it over for me....of course I don't know how used to cars with rotary engines he is.

That's all. Just figured I would introduce myself and my beautiful car.

Good looking car, but it would look really sharp if you get that spoiler painted to match.

Pretty much everyone will say to get a compression check if you haven't had one already. Generally only Mazda dealers can do this due to the unique nature of a rotary compression test tool.

There are some really good new owner/heads up threads here that should point you in the right direction to keeping her running strong.

I've had mine since Dec '13 and I'm slowly plugging away at it with some mild performance/engine longevity mods. It's all fun stuff.
