New RX-8 Owner

Hello everyone,

I just purchased my first completely stock 2003 RX-8 so I figured I would join up. This may be my first rotary powered car, but not my first "fun" car. I've built a few turbo Hondas before, but figured it was time for a change. So far the car has been a lot of fun to drive.

It has a few minor issues. The key FOBs do not work for some reason and a bigger issue I've noticed was after a 10-15 mins of driving it seems to be sluggish. If I left it sit for a while turned off it goes back to normal. I'm fairly sure it's the catalytic converter, but this being my first rotary it could be something completely different. It's not throwing any CELS though.

Where are the pictures?

Anyway, when did the last time you did a tune-up (changing the coils, plugs, and wires)? Check your catalytic for debris and any other abnormal issues. Maybe fuel pump too...idk

Thank you Monchie for making everyone aware of maintenance on the 8 club. Without you, our RX8's would have all died from low compression by now.

All hail our Rotary Savior

All hail Monchie

I hosted them and posted them in the first post? Do you have to actually upload them on the site here?

I have service records from the last owner of having the coils, plugs, wires...etc done about 10k miles ago or so. I just moved here to the UK so I'm living at a hotel on base. I move into my house tomorrow so I will be able to actually get under it and take a look at it.
