New member with Rx8 rebuild issue

I have a 2009 Rx8 that has just had a complete rebuild. It has all new everything including rotors and housings. After the rebuild it will only start by dropping the clutch (pull start). It then sounds good but will not idle. It then dies after 7 minutes or so running at 2k rpm or dies after 2 minutes running at 5k rpm. It has new fuel pump, plugs, wires, and coils. Compression is decent especially for a fresh rebuild. What am I missing? It doesn’t misfire but won’t even spark unless pull start. Need help!

Is the starter new? What compression numbers did you get? "Decent for a fresh rebuild" sounds concerning.

I don’t know exact numbers, my friend did the test. Starter is not new but is tested has good crank amps. Car ran and drove before the rebuild.

Assuming engine compression is good, perhaps an issue with wiring. You ensure everything is hooked up properly and the spark plugs wires go where they are supposed to? You sure fuel pressure is ok? It seems like it could be a fueling issue if compression is ok.

All is hooked up right. Fuel pump is brand new because I thought that was the issue at first.

The pump may be new but you want to make sure fuel pressure is good. Could be a bad line or something else. Maybe a bad injector.

Any codes? Can you watch live data while it's running? What's the fuel trim saying?

Who did the rebuild and installation and what do they have to say about it?
Most of the time this type of issue is miswired injectors or a vacuum leak. What intake is on the car?Stock?
Definitely get live data for AFR, airflow g/sec, short term and long term fuel trim, rpm
