Need some help.
What's up. I'm new to the rotary game, but not the automotive industry. I am currently working on a 04 rx8 I bought for next to nothing, and I'm trying to verify the integrity of the engine.
I do not have a rotary compression tester, but I do have common sense and a standard compression tester.
My rear rotor when cranking at about 300rpm is moving plenty of air and making good compression, my front rotor is not moving any air... It actually seems to be trying to pull a vacuum on the lower spark plug hole.
I am feeling like there may be a blockage in the intake port on the front rotor since these engines should at least move some air while cranking even with bad seals. I am obviously not getting any compression on the front rotor.
Any ideas or help is appreciated.
