Need some help with this.

So before anybody ask me I am new to owning an rx8 even though ive wanted one for years. I bought a used 2004 rx8 automatic for around 1500. The shop i bought it from said that it had a bad timing belt and cam shaft( i know that isn't true lol) so i got the car and of course it needed a rebuild for no compression. Got it done and put the engine back in and bolted it to the tranny. Now my dilemma my torque converter is fully seated in the trans and i can't get it to the flexplate so i can put the four bolts back in. Is there a way to access it so i can align the flexplate and the tc. I seen somewhere about the starter orifice. Last thing to do help please.
