I've hit a roadblock in my first engine rebuild due to a failing oil control ring or seal. And just now really trying to unplate the sandwich and there's not a single forum or anything in this regards. But as a first time engine pull and rebuild, I'm needing help getting the counterweight off an automatic 05 13b, I have the 54mm socket, but just feel like a damn caveman trying to get this **** off lol. Thanks a lot!!
GOT IT OFF! For future reference and ik someone for the first time's gonna need it, a blowtorch heats all the **** in behind the main balancer so it can loosen idk ab the metal contracting and **** but im pretty sure its all pressure'd gunk that mainly holds it in, blowtorch, two prong heavy duty puller's to pull off the fat circle weight (first timer's the weight is separate from the balancer), one prong on counterweight one on balancer, keep wrench jarred underneath engine inside to hold weight inside and screw or crank with 15mm or so socket in between until pop's off, and for the actual balancer underneath slowly thread 2 or more flywheel bolts against it's underneath 'flywall ring' w impact to pop it off. Cheer's to you mf newbies - rotary caveman stye
