Ok so I just cured my rx8 of a misfire 1000 miles ago. I drove home from school and I felt it kind if weak. I drove on high rpms and it started to jump like if I press on the gas it would go and slow down and again n again. And it misfired again cuz the cel was flashing. I hope I don't have to replace all the coils again so what is the problem.

 

It could be the fuel pump is over heating. Fill it up with fresh cold gas and see if it still does it.

 

Would that cause a misfire

 

Ok so I just took it for a hard drive and it ran perfectly. I don't understand why it's doing this. I wana get this fixed before I take it to the track tommorow

 

Could also be a clogged cat. This kind of behavior is never good, I'd recommend switching to another car or carpooling until you get it sorted out.

Check if the cat under the car glows after a hard drive. If it does DO NOT track it.
