Hello folks. I was installing a new midpipe on my vehicle and hit a snag. The O2 sensor is hitting the transmission and I can't fully tighten the midpipe into the manifold. I hope I'm just doing something wrong as this thing wasn't cheap, and the manufacturer isn't getting back to me regarding the issue. Note I have tried this with the midpipe bolted to the catback, and with the catback out of the way. Any advice? I'd rather not modify my vehicle or the pipe if it can be helped, but I'm thinking the pipe might have the bung in the wrong place...

Try turning the mid pipe around 180 degrees so the sensor facing the other direction.

it should only fit one way.... the way the bends are...and the flanges are different on the ends. The front flange is a 3 bolt on the manifold and the cat back is a 2 bolt
Another question related, should the donut gasket fit with a gap on the pipe or should it be tight to install? I'd assume tight to make a good seal.. I tried contacting the manufacturer multiple times but they won't respond. Wonderful! Am I a bad customer for expecting better?

it should be tight on the mid pipe stub end.... and there should be a gap between the flanges when it is tightened up. The Male part of the donut will seal from the pressure on the springs unless it is too misaligned

Yeah the OD of the mid pipe is too small for the ID of the OEM gasket that came with the pipe, as well as the original that came off my stock pipe. Am I allowed to say this is a BHR pipe on here?

I'm surprised that the midpipe diameter is smaller than stock... kinda defeats the purpose of making more flow when you go to a smaller dia.pipe??
They did say that they just switched to a new manufacturer, I'm wondering if they had a not so up to spec batch... Thanks for confirming I'm not crazy (at least with regards to this.)

measure the dia of the rear flange inside... they must have stepped it down to 2.5" ??
