Losing power 2007 rx8

Hey I'm needing some help and I'm not wanting to sound like a complete idiot but I literally have no idea what's going on with my car.

For the past couple days when I accelerate the car almost completely stops accelerating. Kinda like when you're running out of gas. Ive had so many problems with this car and I'm about ready to be done with it. If anybody knows what the problem could be please let me know. Thanks in advance and sorry for sounding like a noob lol. I appreciate it!

Tell us a little more about:
- MIL/CEL engine light on - if so what codes
- maintenance history (battery change, unplug battery recently, ...)
- last time a compression test performed
- does it do this cold vs. engine hot
- how easy to start hot vs start cold
etc.

Check engine light is now on. Completely loses power while driving. I've replaced clutch, flywheel, battery, starter,, plugs, and master and slave cylinder all within the last 3 months. Currently stranded lol

To add to those questions:
when was the last time it was in for regular maintenance (plugs/coils/wires)?
Do you have any mods?
Have you checked your cat converter for clogging/damage?
Do you have fuel? Are you getting fuel delivery (fuel pump, etc)?

I highly recommend that you read the new and potential owners thread. Many people have experienced your exact problem. Most have been solved by educating yourself on the do's and don'ts of this car.

Were just the plugs changed? Did you verify that the coils weren't also shot?

Does the car stall? Does this happen only after the car has warmed up? Can you accelerate the first time and then the second time you try, does it bog down?

Not jumping into conclusions, but this really sounds like a clogged cat to me. Drop the cat and see if the honeycomb like mesh is broken/melted.

Yea it was stalling repeatedly. Now when I try to accelerate it immediately bogs down. But before hand it was letting me rev then big down after the 2nd or 3rd then stalled. Not going to start it anymore because I don't want it to flood. I think I'll definitely look into that though.

Sounds like the cat is clogged. Did you used to get a rotten egg smell when you start the car in the morning?
