Looking at a 8 Never owner one

I’m going to look at a 8 this weekend. What should I look for And. If I buy. What do I need to know about owning a 8. Please help. And thanks guys

Get your hands on a rotary compression tester or have it brought to a shop that can test the engine. Don't trust a test done by the seller even if from a reputable shop. For all you know that test could have been done months ago and engine has since developed new issues.

Another thing you want to look out for is general condition of the car. Body, interior and chassis. Make sure the car drives well and has good acceleration and can run all the way to red line (8500+ RPM). If it can't rev high it likely has clogged solenoids or a stuck SSV so its not a deal breaker but will be extra work. If it passes a compression test those things are fixable. Last thing is to ensure the transmission feels good. Make sure it is able to get into all gears without grinding.
