Email said I’m restricted to posting here. May as well I suppose.
I’ve owned a couple rx8s before but my only purpose really on here is an attempt to find a cheap roller around Oklahoma. Long as it was a stick shift car I’m interested. Don’t even need a title. I’ll put it in the classified area when I’m allowed to though.
Welcome.
I don't know how far you're willing to go, but maybe try Kyle at The Rotary Doctor in Neosho, MO
He's got a big rotary graveyard, he might have one.
If that’s what they all go for I will buy something else. 3 years ago 3500 would buy an rx8 that ran and drove around here. I realize prices have gone up drastically but if I am being frank I don’t believe any normal modern car (I.e. not a classic or something special) should go for much more than a grand at most if the engine is shot.
I was surprised when I offered 500 for an 04 three days ago to a guy here and he declined. No title, blown apex seals and wouldn’t even crank, and needed some minor bodywork and paint. That isn’t worth 2k

I'm talking about a decent, straight chassis, not a junker.
Long as it was a stick car and has the lsd I don’t care for much else. Well, a good frame. Most everything else will be removed anyway. All it will be for is track use. The only reason I want an rx8 is because an rx8 is the first car I bought for myself and I want a new drift car. My mustang is sold.
Everything on it will be standalone anyway. Ls with standalone controller, I have a t56 that’s good, and I’m a machinist. I’ll make a driveshaft work. Past that I’ll wire up a temp gauge, oil pressure, and tach. Wham bam done. Then I go out and f it up.
If you haven't already check here in Texas. I bought my s2 r3 for 1200 bux with a blown motor. People out here don't want to deal with rebuilds so I've seen countless rollers on clean shape go for pennies.
