Installed a double din and now have problems

So I have installed an Sony XAV-AX100 in my RX8 and all the wiring is correct but my aircon controls don’t work neither do my speakers or my display name and I pulled it apart again to see if there was any loose connections and there wasn’t any😶..can someone help?!

What did you use for an adapter? The Metra kit has wiring to address that. Otherwise you wont get it to work without the CAN wiring etc that is in the stock head unit module

It’s a Metra kit but I’m not too sure what u mean by adapter

There is a wiring harness on the adapter that replaces the stock control circuits

The stock HU handles the heater controls also. Metra Part # 95-7510 | Mazda RX8 Dash kit | Metra Online is for the S1, not sure what you have, but notice the decoder box in the kit, without that your heater controls wont work. Also if you have the Bose system you will have to figure out some additional wiring since the Bose system expects low level outputs from the headunit and the Metra harness adapter will wire up to high level outputs (using the ISO standard of green, gray, white and purple wires).
