Swiped

I have two of these cards, one of which is working, I tried to use the other card one day and it wouldn't work. The battery has been recently replaced and the red led does light up when the buttons were pushed. I have taken the card to Autozone and tested it with their wireless key tester and it only worked some of the time with some of the buttons. I have seen cases for them available online, which suggests that the card can be opened up and the shell can be replaced. How do I go about opening the card up without breaking it, so I can check the guts of the card?

I'm sure there's a DIY on this,or you could go to the dealer and have it reprogrammed

It's sealed shut. I replaced the case on one of mine and I had to break it open. The new case gets superglued together. All that being said, I had one that started getting intermittent. It would only work if I applied pressure to the card in the middle. I wound up buying a full replacement on eBay and programmed it myself. You need 2 working keys to program yourself. Luckily I was able to make the intermittent key work enough to program the new key. Then I bought another replacement and programmed that as a backup

Keep in mind this only works for the programming of the card itself. The slide out key has a chip in it that requires special equipment to program AFAIK. But both my original slide out keys are fine so I didn't worry about those.
