HELP!! I'm seriously in need of advice

Hi guys. I have a 2004 rx8. I bought it off my brother who had the car sitting there for about 6 months because of an unknown issue... it's just been a problem ever since for me.
The car turns on but then will shut off after 3-5 seconds. I had brought it to a mechanic and they worked on it for about a week or two to no prevail. They said at first it was the computer.. computer works.. then the throttle body, turns out it wasn't. They said they checked the fuel pump and attempted to check the compression but can't get the car to stay on long enough to do that.
I'm seriously clueless on what to do next. I've taken it to two shops already and they both have said the same thing.. somebody has to know something or have some idea...
Anytging would help alottttt.

Thanks in advance.

There are potentially a LOT of issues.

But before I even recommend anything, I urge you to read this thread
https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tro...t-here-222584/

Once you go through that thread and are still having issues, report them here.

I also recommend reading these:

Reading the stickies doesn't mean anything.
What you need to do is attempt some troubleshooting in order to find out where your issue is.

Once you go through the list and checked certain parts, then post your results.

If I send you a video of me sneezing, will you diagnose me with a cold? Alergies? Alergies to what? Or is it just dust?

More information is required...

Ouch lol. Will do. I'm just frustrated because of how much of a headache it's been. When I do more research and trouble shooting I'll get back to you guys

I understand how frustrated you are. But "hulk smash" not only doesn't solve anything, it also causes more issues.

So try to be as patient as possible, read the checklist and follow it step by step and you'll hopefully come to a conclusion.
