Question Help (Choked for power)

Alright guys, I been having this problem for a while. I think I need a new engine but im not sure.... So my car wont rev past 5000 rpms. It drives fine and accelerates good until i hit 5000 rpms. It feel like chokes and wont go faster. I can still go up 94 MPH but i miss hitting that magical 100. I doesnt leak. Anti freeze never drains anywhere. oil burns the normal 1000 miles per quart. spark plugs are only 8000 miles old. i dont know about the coils but i do not get any codes. check engine light is off and hasnt turn on since i fixed my crankshaft/essentric sensor problem. So if anyone has any advice or tips please feel free to fill my nooby mind with wisdom

Get your catalytic converter inspected, that's a classic sympton of a bad cat.

I would recommend deleting the cat & getting a BHR midpipe.
If your cat is bad you can gut it until you get a new cat or midpipe.

If you are within 8yr 80k and in the US, get the cat replaced under warranty (Federally mandated warranty), don't gut it or they can deny you. Get the free cat even if you decide to go with a cat delete.
