I have a black 2005 rx8 basic model, so far everything is stock. I look forward to being an active member on this forum to get the best input on what things i should do to my rx8 to improve performance and looks. Right now im trying to find black rims w/ red trim for my rx8 but so far no luck. I believe my rims are 16x7.5. If anyone could help me find some that would be great.

Thanks! Im not really looking to put that much into my rx8 because i like it the way it is, just maybe a few little things. Post gave me some ideas though and tips on not what to buy which i was looking at. (saved me $$$) My car already flooded once out of the blue, it didn't have misfires or anything. Now i take really good care of it. I warm it up every morning for 5 minutes before i drive it. Im thinking about installing a remote starter just for that.

you should consider getting an cat-back exhaust, it wont add any noticeable power but it will sound so much nicer =] also consider an RP shortshifter, makes the driving experience a lot nicer as well =]

 

Right now im trying to find new rims but its hard finding the right specs, and i have to replace the rear tires cause tread is worn. My model is like completely basic. 16x7.5" rims, No DSC button (made me sad) everything is completely basic. Im going to black out my car before i start putting performance into it. But thank you for the input! ill consider the cat-back cause i do want to give my rx8 a meaner sound to it.

 

keep in mind that whatever rims you get may look a bit odd or out of place since you are at stock height. a nice drop with springs or coilovers would look nice with new rims =]

what style of rims are you looking for? any examples? price range?

Ha id feel out of place. Im only 17, not many young rx8 owners. I take pride in my rx8 too, i love all the attention it gets. I've been reckless a couple of times with it but im more careful and more respectful of the lil beast. i learned from my mistakes. and im in the virginia beach area.
