Hello, As you can see I'm a new member. I recently bought a Mazda Rx8 white pearl Manual transmission. I fell in love with the car the moment I looked at it. This is my first car.

So I have a couple of question. I would really appreciate You input on some issues I've been having with it.

My Mazda has been running Fine until a few days ago. I was driving like usual then a came to a stop and it suddenly it turn off when I put it in Neutral then I tried to turn it on and the car kept Idling between 2500 and 3000 rpm. and sometimes after a long drive the car would turn off the moment I come to a stop I try to turn in on and it does but turns off right away(does not happen always). I've been reading this forum to find out what might be causing this problem . The car starts just fine when cold and warm as well most of the time.

Also when my car is warm my abs lights come on I lose odometer and speedometer plus my sterling wheel get a bit stiff

Car is 99500 miles
Person who sold the car to my father told him engine had recently been installed and might have around 10k miles but I don't really believe in that since he did not provide paperwork to prove it.

Connected a OBD2 Reader and had these codes come up

U0121 (Lost communication with anti-lock brake system) ABS lights come in when warm and I lose Speedometer, Odometer plus Steering wheel gets stiff and loss of power. I have no Issues with this when the car is Cold.

P0661 (Intake Manifold Tuning Valve Control Circuit Low - Bank 1)

Welcome, nice colour and an MT! way to go, however, did you get a compression test before purchasing? it doesn't matter that there is only 10k on the engine it could still have failed again if not done properly or abused after the fact.

sounds suspiciously like an electrical or connector issue. I would start with cleaning all the battery connections, they reseat every connector you can find. There are several under the ECU cover that I would start with, especially if a nut job tried to change the engine. Of course, disconnect the battery, reseat all the connections, clean the battery connectors, then re-attache the battery. When you start it, just let it idle until it warms up. It will go through a learn process that you want to let complete. One the fans come on, you are good to go. Start with and easy drive.

Your UO121 indicates a bad connection as well. the 661 could be connection as well.
