hello, im new and a new rx8 owner :)

id like to say I have officially bought an rx8, so far so good, I have a few mods in my head from looking at the pictures, this is my first mazda, ive always owned integra type rs, or bosted civics, so is a WHOLE different ball game here.

let me start off by asking, and yes I already searched and nothing...anyways, the car runs smooth, every gear goes in fine, BUT..there is 3 things that im un-aware off.

1st one is the transmission, whenever in neutral, if ilet go of clutch I hear a humming noise, may be the LSD as if im not forgetting, my type r used to have it aswell.

2nd one is engine, whenever I shut the car off, or even when engine isn't on, just on 2nd ignition and I go to take the key out, ihear a buzz sound, kind of like if there was a short, idk if that's a rare or common thing, ihave searched and nothing.

3rd the oil light is on, I checked the oil and I read the owners manual, is a little below the first dotted line, so im guessing that's why is on, what kind of oil is best and every how many miles is good to change? I understand a rotary is very diff from a regular engine. thanks a bunch and pictures are coming soon!

1: Release bearing, low hum is normal, rattling and higher noises aren't. Cheap bearing, but typically only replaced when the clutch is since it's the same amount of work to get to

2: normal. There are various solenoids that run for a few seconds after the engine shuts off. When the temp warms up, you will hear the fans too

3: Oil choice is up to you. Lots of opinion about it, so asking for a consensus will just make your head spin.

I recommend reading the new owner's thread, as it has answers to more questions that you don't even know you will ask yet. https://www.rx8club.com/new-member-f...t-here-202454/

I searched and read the dyi for heater, but thatsounds more of an electrical problem...

Yes, this is an electrical problem. The solder joint between the **** and the circuit board to electrically control that point breaks. Search "DIY heater **** repair" and you should find the cheap or free fix for it.
