Hard start after filling up with gas... 2010 RX8 GT 6spd

Ok ive noticed lately that everytime i filled up gas which takes about 2 minutes when i start it it takes about 3-4 seconds to start and ones it starts it takes a couple of seconds b3fore idle is stable again...

I thought it might be a hot start issue... But i tried shutting down the engine for 1-2 minutes a couple of time and starts rightback up...

But everytime i fill up gas it happens all the time.

Any ideas?

I have read that usually indicates something is wrong with the EVAP system, usually the purge solenoid valve. If your EVAP has a problem, it will allow too much gas vapor into the engine after you fill up and that can cause this.

The purge solenoid valve is pretty close to the alternator. Pretty easy to locate but it might be a bit of work to take it out and test it. You could start by measuring the resistance of the purge solenoid valve. It's a 2-pin connector.
