I bought my 06-RX8 last July and since I have formed the well known H crack in my passenger side dash.

Is there a good place online I can get replacement parts? if so links please.

Is there a best way to replace and a cheap way to replace? I hear there is a way to replace just the cover and not the bag and is cheaper, is that true? Or do I have to replace the whole thing air bag and all?

Is this something I can replace myself or should I get a pro to do it?

Can someone recommend a good mechanic in the Raleigh NC area?

It's a common issue, search and you will find all of the answers you seek.

 

You can replace just the dash cover. The air bag will transfer over to the new dash cover. The cracking passenger side air bag cover is a common issue with these cars. The cover is expensive to replace so be prepared. As far as replacing it, the job is fairly simple and shouldn't take more than an hour total your first go around.
