Just got my 8, an '08 with 38 grand on her. Everything's great, except I've been having a strange issue. While driving, I hear this noise, like a ghost sound along with a very slight vibration. It comes from the front, not the rear. It's an uneven sound too, like if someone tried to mimick a ghost ooooooooo but had someone else lightly shaking them. WTF?

 

My gut feeling is bad tires or wheel bearing. Try rotating your tires and seeing if the noise starts coming from the rear.

 

Check and see if the brake backing plate is touching the brake rotor.
