General RX-8 Thoughts

Hey guys, so I posted here roughly a year ago and have been researching over the past two since I've been fixing up my RX-8. It had coolant issues, tire issues, oil drips, missing door handle etc etc.

Last I was here I think I wrote about a busted clutch or blown coolant hoses? 😂 Anyways, I've managed to fix up my RX-8 and all those issues to a point where it's now more reliable than ever. It even has a door handle now! 😄

I've got a general idea of how to maintain it and how to even improve the quality of it over time, but was wondering if there are any experts around my area that could help me pinpoint some of the things I don't know, or even just give pointers for what exactly should be done for my RX-8 next.

Right now the biggest concerns I have are related to the Exhaust and the Transmission I think. I have a 6spd Manual, as all things should be. However, in neutral I can hear a slight grinding. My guess would be Motor Mounts, but I'd prefer to fix that sound first try if you catch my drift.

Oh by the way! That RX-8 is totally my first car, and no regrets at all!

There she is :') 137,000 Miles and still running strong.

It's fairly normal to have a bit of noise in neutral in the Series 1 transmissions. Unless it is really obnoxious it is likely normal

At 137K if it hasn't been done.... diff and transmission fluid should be changed. Do a bit of reading to see the recommended and not recommended oil types

I filled the car up with some redline MT90 when I changed the clutch. I guess a Series 2 Transmission itself is a bit further down the road though since I don't have that bank at the moment. It feels obnoxious to me, but I've also never been in another RX-8.
