Cool fuel pump wiring

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the wiring to the fuel pump in a 2005 rx8. when you pop up the driver side rear seat and you remove the cover, you get the wiring clip for your fuel pump. There are 4 wires going to the clip. I assume the black is the ground. and the other 3 are unknown to me. Reason I'm so interested is I did the ls1 swap and almost to the first start inside of the car and I'm kind of 2nd guessing myself on the wiring. specifically the fuel pump clip. I unhooked did away with the fuel pump fuse and relay in the car because it will get its power from the ls1 harness side. so in the fuse box in the engine bay i just simply took the white and red wire ( if i remember right ) and hooked it to the power coming from the ls1 side. but when i put a meter on it and turn the key, out of the 4 wires going into the pump assembly 2 of them show 12v for a second and then goes away. I'm assuming this 12v it shows for about 2 seconds is the fuel pump prime stage. BUT I'm worried because 2 wires are doing that. at first thought i was thinking the other wire also getting power had to be power to maybe the float or gauge , but the meter made me start to 2nd guess myself because i don't think the float or gauge would go threw the prime stage like the fuel pump, i would think it would just be 12v while key is on period.

Like i said going to be starting it soon. hope to hear from someone that might have been threw something like this or knows about the wiring. I tried to follow wire but i really cant seam to find it any where just at the pump.

Plug has B+ and ground and 2 wires for the level sensor. There is a wiring diagram on the site. If you can't find it pm me and I will give you a link to a Mediafire page I have it on. Just don't have the link with me.

I would use the stock wire to trigger a relay and run a fused wire from the battery. That way you can bypass all the stock voltage regulating stuff 😎

Check out LT1 Swap for LS1 standalone wiring.
