Fuel Pump and Sock etc...
Hey guys, So that sock thats on the Rear Driver side.. On the fuel pump keeps getting pretty dirty, Any fixs to maybe making it better, in terms of Staying clean. Or even If dirty still very effective at not starving my Engine?
On another thing... What is on the other side, The rear passenger seat. What is under that side, other than the other side of the fuel tank. Is there any maintenance i should be doing to that one?

You could open up the passenger side and check what's there if you really want to see it.
It's very unlikely that a dirty fuel filter will cause starvation unless the particles filling it are very very big. What kind of premix do you use, if any? Most won't do much to the filter, but wax based ultra-cheap premixes could cause some issues.
If you don't use a premix and you think it's clogging too fast I would consider changing gas stations.

Once you have cleaned the sock of any particles it wont be a continuing problem unless you are still getting crude (settlement) in your fuel tank from bad gas. Idemitsu and Pettit Racing's Protek are good quality premix and stay in solution in your gas, so there are no issue about any premix sitting in the fuel tank or filter. Some cheaper premix might sit in the bottom of your tank. It is unusual for the sock to continually be getting dirty. You might need to change where you are getting your gas.
There is just the other side of your saddle gas tank under the rear passenger seat on left-hand drive RX8s. All your fuel pump assembly is under the rear driver's side.
I am curious how you already cleaned the sock and saw it continually getting dirty, if you don't yet have the tool to remove the cover ?
