Flaming

Is it just me or is every post anyone makes going to get flamed by at least one person lol. It's like there is always one person out there who thinks nobody does their research and they're just lazy degenerate people. I understand news can be annoying but seriously some people need a chill pill. I for one can hold my own but I know some people out there just want answers and some people honestly can't find the answers. I understand the typical "how much power can I make" "am I faster than so and so" questions and how annoying they get but some topics aren't covered in a great amount if at all. Just please be more considerate people. There is a reason mazda is considered one of the greatest automotive communities out there.

We strive to keep flaming to a minimum and none in the New Member Forum, if we find it. We want the interaction to be the same as if you were at a rotary meet. You may get negative comments about your ideas or about the acceptability of modifications to a vehicle. That's life. If a question has been answered before a member, if they wish to post a response, should provide a link to the answer. Site etiquette would have this rather than a harsher "search". It is also proper form for a member to attempt to search for an answer before posting. Long term members tire of having to see the same question asked over and over again. When the experienced members no longer look at posts asking for assistance, the questions go unanswered.

The amount of flaming has decreased dramatically over the last several months, especially since the New Member Forum was created. The Mods have been very diligent at keeping the negative comments at bay. You should have been around when I joined the forum. We have come a long way in that area.

Take note of Al's sentance here:

"Flaming" does not encompass all negative comments. There are plenty of legitimate non-flaming negative comments that are not suppressed, even in the new member forum. Posting something in public is inviting people to offer their opinion. People that agree with you usually don't reply, people that don't agree with you, usually do. As long as people can remain civil about expressing their contrary opinions, they are free to do so.

There are quite a few members that can't comprehend the difference ...

Having been on numerous other forums, this one seems pretty civil compaired to some of the other automotive forums online. you just have to learn to take the negativity in stride
