Yo so I just bought my first used 2006 rx8 and it's pretty f**kin awesome! My only concern is starting her up. Takes awhile and I have to depress the gas for a second and then she kicks. Just replaced the top plugs wires and battery. Any suggestions?

I would first run a compression test on the engine. I would then pull all four coils and check each one for any burning though to the mating surface with the mount. Next, check the fuel pump for correct output and ensure its operating correctly and not causing a lean condition.

Welcome.
Definitely get the compression checked to rule that out, it doesn't make sense to spend money changing parts on a possibly failing engine.
Then, unless you know the age of the coils, it would be a good idea to change them anyway.
It's a known weak point that has caused a lot of problems.
It's recommended here that all 4 coils, plugs, & wires be changed every 30k miles as part of routine maintenance.
Coil failure causes unburned fuel to be dumped in the exhaust, damaging the catalytic converter and could result in engine failure if not caught soon enough.
One of the classic symptoms of compression loss is hot start problems.
It would also be a good idea to check the cat if you still have one.
Good luck!
