First rx8

Hey, just got myself an rx8, I've read a lot online about them but wouldn't mind hearing from actual owners. Just wanting to know the do's and don'ts with the car just because I have read the motors like to blow and others say they are fine if you know what your doing with them. If anyone has any advice about that or anything else to do with the car let me know. Thanks.

Ok thanks. I do have one question. I was out the other day driving around downtown for about 15 to 20 minutes going slow speeds it was about 20 degrees Celsius and the car started to heat up a bit high. Is that normail for these cars if your doing slow speeds for that amount of time?

No... not normal. It is very dangerous to overheat a rotary engine. IF the v temp gauge is moving you have a problem because it only moves when it is quite hot.

Check your fans if it only does it at slow speeds.

Ok I'll check my fans thanks, when I driving normal speeds my temp gauge is reading just a little below half where it should be. It was just when I was stoping and going and driving slow speeds that it started to heat up a little high. Thanks for the help!
