Engine Rebuild on an Rx8

I've looked at this forum for the past 2 years so i know i'm gonna get a lot of sarcastic comment from the older members, but i have a question regarding rebuilding the engine on an rx8. What all is suggested for a rebuild if the rotors and rotor housings are fine? If i were to rebuild it, would i need to tune it?

There is too much to type in this thread. Your best bet is to use Google and/or Bing to search this site for your answers. Use this syntax:

site:rx8club.com engine rebuild

If you rebuild it with stock ports or even with small street porting the ECU will be able to compensate ......
If you have good rotors and housings you need seals ...side and apex seals and springs...and a gasket/soft seal kit.

You need to check the oil control rings and cutoff seals to see if they are OK. And check the irons for wear

Other than that you should be OK

If done correctly, the ecu will learn to adjust.
