Hi. I'm a newbie to the RX8. Got my first one a few months ago and I'm having some issues and don't even know where to start. I have been having an issue with multiple electrical systems failing on me. My main 3 are my cruise control, heater, and the power steering. On occasion, I have a low tire pressure light that comes on, ABS light is on, and traction control light is on. Can someone please point me in the right direction on these issues. I'm assuming they are all linked some how, as I have cleared the issue a couple of times by disconnecting my battery. Thank you.

 

Disconnect both battery terminals.

Clean both clamps and both posts thoroughly.

Reconnect both clamps to the terminals, but do it carefully. Make sure they are seated firmly and securely BEFORE you start tightening them. Wiggle the clamps around to find where they want to sit best.

See if your issues return.

Multiple system electronics failure is almost always corroded/poor battery connections.

 

Hi. Just an update, I just replaced both connectors. They where both shot and wouldn't tighten. My problems still persist to be there. I also just had my alternator rebuilt. I thought maybe with the alternator and connectors both replaced/rebuilt my problems would have disappeared but they didn't. Any one else have any ideas of what to do?
