coil packs, wire, plugs?
Hello fellow 8 lovers.. I just recently got a new engine on my 8. Throw in a new spark plugs oem coil packs and ngk wires.
So is it normal to have this electric spark coming from trailing back engine. Its visually seen spark from the wires plug to the engine and it makes an annoying clicking spark.. seems like a leak or does it do anything bad to my engine?

this happened to me the 2nd time i changed my ignition. im guessing you get a flashing cel too. im known for over torquing things and cracked the porcelin on the same plug. pull the plug and inspect it. if its broke replace it

No, it is most certainly NOT normal, and you need to fix that ASAP. An arcing spark will be effectively not firing that plug, which means that unburnt fuel is fouling your plugs and roasting your cat.
Get in there, disconnect and reconnect one plug wire at a time. You probably have one off or way loose. If not loose, then pull the plugs and check for a broken plug as 200 recommends.

not sure if you posted an image or video or something (can't see at work), but if there is an actual spark coming off the wires and onto the engine block, that is called arching, and is not something you want to have.
Make sure that the wires are for sure plugged in snug (they should 'click' on the spark plug end), and taht there is no visual damage to the wire (they are new, but just to be sure)

I still have the old oem wire that I have from the blown engine.. should I switch or just buy a new one.. I did pull this and check it before but still doing the same thing..

did you check the plug? mine had a hairline crack that you couldnt see while it was in the car

Thanks guys for the advices.. I checked the trailing plug and yes it was cracked and ended up spending 180 $ worth of plugs.. it ran smoother and faster for sure.. thanks again

Dealers charge $200 to $260 for a set of plugs.
PaPa - look up these plugs at Amazon, Rock Auto, Autozone, etc. You can get a set in the $70 range. IMHO it's worth having a spare set in the car in case something suddenly goes wrong. When I limped to the dealer with what turned out to be fubar ignition, I saved $120 by having them use my spare set instead of selling me theirs.

I HATE SPEEDBUMPS!
Just be careful on buying on eBay. I heard that there are some vendors that uses an oem box and put a "cheap" aftermarket parts inside, and you won't notice a difference. There is a thread over here about buying on eBay...just a heads up.

I got them from auto value here in calgary.. didn't have a choice coz my boss won't let me keep my car inside his shop.. planning on getting bhr kits soon.
