Code P1688-FF: Metering oil pump stepping motor #4 control circuit
Hello, I swapped the MOP sensor with the other one from my old engine’s OMP and it worked for a couple of days but then got the same code today and it went into limp mode. I’m not sure if this has anything to do with it but I replaced the vacuum line going to the bottom of the engine by the header and got this code the next day.Its in the same area as the harness for the OMP. I kind of yanked the line out so I could’ve disconnected something like a ground wire. I haven’t gotten to replacing the OMP yet, but I don’t wanna do that if it’s just a ground wire or something. Any other thoughts would be much appreciated.

When you install the OMP you have to make sure it's set correctly. If it's partially open when you install it, it'll limit its available movement and eventually cause this type of problem. You can google for correct installation.
Though it does sound like the connector or wire going to it may be damaged.

Update
Thank you for the info! I checked all the wiring upstream and it all looked fine aswell as the connectors. I started it up this time and got the code P1687 after about 10 seconds. I readjusted the sensor and got this code which is different than the other P1688. I’m pretty confused why the code changed. Any help is appreciated! Do I need to readjust the sensor again?
