Hello All,

I just purchased a 2004 RX-8 manual and love the car, but I've got a problem that's driving me crazy. The heat control does not actuate the blend door. I've tried 3 different climate control modules, the original actuator and a new one, I even replaced the ac amplifier. And yes, I read the post here and re-soldered the three pins on the board, on all three boards. I've checked fuses with a meter and they all test good. It's driving me crazy and I've run out of ideas. Have I over looked something? I hope someone has seen this before and can shed some light on the problem.

Well, after checking solder joints and swapping out components nothing seemed to make a difference. I don’t have a working stock radio but thought I’d try the temp control diagnostic trick with the aftermarket radio, it doesn’t work. Then I thought I’d see if my climate control would change the time and text on the display, it did. I got back under the dash to look at everything again and the blend door actuator was working! I don’t know what fixed it but it’s working now!
