Is this burnt cat..?
Corroded and dragged on the ground.... but difficult to tell what the inside is like.
I would bet that it's not great
What is the CEL code? First thing you need to do is figure that out. Then report back and we can help you more

Remove the cat and physically inspect it, this part might just be a scratch from the road. The cat has a metal shroud thing.
get the code read, if it is P0420 then your cat is dead and after you remove it if the problem persists you might have a OMP problem.
if there’s no code then your OMP is malfunctioning, if it is P1688 or similar, your OMP is malfunctioning.
OMP code is manufacture specific so not all code reader can read it.

This would explain why you cant rev above 5k. The car is currently in limp mode. Check out this thread for solutions. OMP pumps rarely fail mechanically. Likely the switch or wiring is the issue. Good luck.

Or maybe I just suck at using the search engine. I've seen recommendations to PM Dannobre, apparently he knows how to do this.
Best of luck.
