If any of you kiwi's are interested in using Amsoil, then give Moore cars in Christchurch a call and ask for Wayne.

Oh okay that would make more sense then, if I hadn't already purchased the amsoil I would have went with Eneos, I'll check it out though, a buddy of mine with a Lancer Ralliart needs to change his fluid soon.

When you change your tranny fluid where do you put the oil from. My mechanic used a gun to push the oil frm the tranny drain point. I doubt that is right cuz it took forever. Just curious I heard there is a way to remove the gear **** and boot all the way to pour in the fluid??? Please enlighten me a little thanks

Yeah just remove the shifter and fill it from there. Only works on series 1 trannys though IIRC

My tame nissan owner is completely **** about doing things perfectly. Still, a 360 horse Stagea is nothing to sniff about! Fun to drive too!!!

Yup that is correct. This does not work on S2 transmissions.

My new RX-8 had 33K miles and shifting into Reverse and Sixth was tricky. Put the AMSOIL GL4 and Lucas in, and she shifts quietly and like butter. I also put AMSOIL GL5 into the rear diff, with about an ounce of Lucas. Feels great.
What's that stuff called exactly? The Lucas trans treatment, I found something on Amazon but I'm not entirely sure it's the correct thing haha.

Neo Synthetic's SAE 75w-90

used to use Idemitsu Racing Performance Gear Oil SAE 75w-90 synthetic.

Both great oils! Getting good results using NEO synthetic, especially after an hour at high heat were the 8's transmission likes to operate at apparently.

I'm also a fan of the Ams GL-4. Mostly because it feels really smooth, but also because I can pick it up directly from the warehouse in town.
