Battery terminals

It may sounds silly but I am considering changing (upgrading) my RX8 battery terminals, I did the negative one but the Positive has a fuse and I am wondering what problems can I face if a cut the terminals and just plug it in the new terminal like a ground wire for example ????? Anyone who does that can guide me on such process.

Just replace the clamp part with a good quality one . No need to cut anything off !

Why? It may look like an upgrade...but in reality it will be a much less secure connection and more likely to corrode than the OEM one.

The 60 amp fuse there is for the Electric power steering...so you need a good connection...it draws a lot of current

There you go, that was just a question, a guidelines actually because i was not sure, I do not want to screw the things up on the car, ECU or something else. I will leave the Positive terminal the way that it is, I will replace just the clamp for a new better connection than the one that my car has when I bought the car.
