Whats up every one, first time posting. Ive come across an issue with the oem battery box. After work I went to check the oil as I so offten do and I find the battery as destroyed the box. There was plastic everywhere and the battery itself was rubbing against the pully system. I'm glad I open the hood as frequent as I do or I'd be screwed blued and tattooed. I suppose the question i have is if there is a good aftermarket battery box with tie downs? There is just to much plastic with oem I'm my opinion and the price is not that appealing either almost $180 for every thing. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

 

Was the battery tie-down loose?
I would get a replacement from the junkyard.

 

Yea a bit. Ive checked all the pick a parts online and no rx8's in the yard. Ill have to check other junk yards and hope i luck out.
