I look on here all the time for any question i need answered and i finally decided to join the fun! so dont be too harsh lol

Most of my buddies clown on me due to the lack of a AUX input in the 8, one of them recently sent me this link for a "easy" AUX mod. i rarely trust the functionality and the quality of products like this but hey its on 10 bucks right?

Im guessing this would only work if 1. you did not have a CD changer but did have the connection or 2. you did have the CD changer but opt to go with an AUX in

idk, what do you guys think, has anyone tried this, if should i try my luck and see if the 10 bucks is work it??

 

I'd guess it works the same as all the other AUX in mods, in which case there is likely a firmware revision requirement you might need to get it working. For $10, it's hard to see a reason why not to try it.

Well i just placed the order, i will be very impressed if this thing works out the box. i guess i can have a bit of faith but what can i expect , ive read most of the DIY but i just find my self too lazy for THIS kind of project. ive been dealing with our stock "skippy" CD players since i bought the car so this would be a nice change lol

I have an iPod aux hookup in my RX8, if you hit CD twice it switches to aux, it's wired through the glovebox but I'm not sure how, it was professionally done.

 

scarface it's thru the same port.... your stock radio merely thinks its playing thru a changer. I have serious doubts about this mod working on our radio, particularly MY's prior to 2006.

Yes the first on didn't because I have a 6 disc cd changer but the one I have now works perfectly. It's made by grom.
