Hey community I could really use some help .Bought an 05 mazMa RX-8 for 1,000. It's got some issues, I believe it might have the wrong ecu because it is a automatic transmission but the previous owner changed the ecu and the car won't shift out of first. Also the abs pump is always on along with abs light, e brake light, and I believe the engine light and power steering light. The car needs a lot of love but the engine body and interior are actually very clean .just has some electrical problems. So here's the numbers on the ecu N3K8 18 881 the dealership said my Vin number shows that it should be N3ZC 18 881R can anyone tell me if the N3K8 is for AT or MT or any ideas on how to get the car to shift. The speedometer also doesn't work so I was thinking maybe that's why it won't shift.
