Accessport, Cobb Software

I'd post this in General, or in the Engine tuning forum if I could but new member privileges won't allow me to start new threads for a bit (30 days is a little harsh no? I get it though).

Does anyone have a copy of the Accessport manager software they could burn on a disk for me?

The car I bought has a married accessport and a Mazdamaniacs tune, and for the most part I just want to take a look at the current tune and the OMP oiling parameters. Cobb (obviously, after the EPA stuff) does not support any accessport any more, and called the V2 "buggy" and that I shouldn't use it. "That's' why we discontinued it."

I mean I agree, with that I wouldnt use it either. Once it breaks, youre screwed and need to have your car flashed back to OEM by Mazda because youll be locked out from any other cobb or tuning software. Get the software, uninstall the cobb from the car, and get rid of it before you create more problems for yourself.

Seems to be the consensus. I don't really **use** the accessport, just that it was tuned with one.

Friend of my who has RX8s, tunes them, suggested Versatune.

As long as the car runs correctly just drive it.

You can reflash back tonstock if you have the dongle

The software was tied to each unit.... so unless you havyothe copy for your unit it wont work.

Or find someone woth the Pro version...

Part of the problem is, I'm having a ton of smoke under certain conditions. I'm not sure if it's the increased oilling in the tune, or if I have oil control problems.

I have an Accessport and all the files associated with it, send me a PM and I will send you my email and you can download it all from Google Drive. I backed it all up there a long time ago just in case. Not sure it will work, but worth a try.

It's not the tune. Even at full tilt it doesn't inject enough oil for a smokeshow. I have the same tune

if MM tuned it there’s nothing you can see in it because the tune is locked to prevent either tampering or revealing his supposed “secrets” 🤣

and also the RaceTuner software you’re requesting is tied to the handheld serial number so the software from a different device won’t get you anywhere either
.

Copy that! Mostly just trying to get info on it. Most likely will write over it later with Versatuner

VersaTuner is able to read the MM tune from the car and then it is possible to convert that to a VT tune, so you can see MM's settings (secrets?) that way

I switched the car to the 'stock style' tune that was loaded on the Accessport and... A distinct lack of smoke. One puff after a misfire while it was warming up and then.. no more.

Also seems like the check engine light was actually enabled on that tune, it did flash at me with a misfire cyl 1 which then turned steady and multiple misfires at one point. After it was warm/hot I cleared the codes and they didn't come back.

It does however not idle after pulling to a stop.. Hopefully a re learn/ re scale on the MAF? After it stalls, when restarted it will idle but be rough sometimes.

Progress, I suppose, but motivation to get away from the accessport and get a decent tune on it.

Give it some time after flashing a new tune. This resets everything. It will re-learn the idle after a while.

If you want to return to the stock programming, uninstall the AccessPort completely from the car.

It had learned the idle by the next drive thankfully, and was all good from there. I may just do that, and come back later with a different tuning method.
