(about to work on changing brakes)

I'd like to start this off with thanks everyone on the forums for all the help.
I've gotten tons of help for jack stand placement, parts for oil changes a walk through for changing the coils and spark plugs and now it is about time to change my brakes.

My level of experience with brakes is rather laughable, so here are the resources i'll be using. (2009 rx8 with 18 inch wheels 50k miles)
https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-do-...e-pads-172382/

I am starting off by buying the brake caliper set shown below.
Astro Pneumatic 78618 Brake Caliper Wind Back Tool Set - 18 Piece : Amazon.com : Automotive Astro Pneumatic 78618 Brake Caliper Wind Back Tool Set - 18 Piece : Amazon.com : Automotive

I need two things however.. a good torque wrench and the socket to match to my wheels lug nuts. I believe the star pattern requires 60 pounds of torque to put the wheel on securely, then re-administering the star pattern after a brief drive.

I normally buy my RX8 specific parts from Rosenthal Arlington Mazda's website, but I can't find brake pads on their site. Do any of y'all know some pads I can put on it?
I would like to do more auto crossing.. and would like a set to put on for daily driving and a set for auto crossing. I found some advertised.. but i'm more comfortable with word of mouth than advertisements from vendors.
Also looking for cheap wheels for some r compound tires when I go out too, but that is next years' income tax return.

Finally as I am a noob about brakes Should I be worried about the following?
- replacing the brake fluid? I found a DIY section on it I think.
https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-do-...-fluid-210507/
- when should replace rotors?
- pads worn out when under 4mm?
- any additional tools like silicon lubricant?
For safety I have the mechanic from the autocross club i'm in watching me do it, while drinking my beer. I'd like to get my ducks in a row before using his time on my noobtastic brake learning experience.

Thanks for the help y'all.
