About to give up.

I have a 2004 autotragic Rx-8 for the past month I have been having problems with it but for now I just need help. The car now sounds like it is misfiring it heaves when I barely rev it then take my foot off it will drop to 100 rpm stutter then back up to 1000 and bounce from 750-1000, when driving whenever I stop the car it dies and has a really hard time starting back up also I have NO codes and it's really confusing. I have already (due to prior problems) gutted catty, new ssv and gasket, new thermostat and gasket, new waterpump and gasket, new battery (above good), new plugs wires and coils (got new coils today thinking that was the problem no help), cleaned maf and the connection, cleaned grounds, cleaned all connections, tripple checked all of my vacuum lines and replaced both of my belts I have been sharing videos via facebook to the purelyrx8 page, my name is chris cambrice if you think you know the problem try to reach me there as I am not on this forum often but I will be checking daily now and will appreciate and help that I could possibly get. If I left any information out please let me know.

Have got gotten a compression test?

Have you cleaned the E-shaft sensor?

Have you reset the e-shaft sensor profile?

Have you reset your fuel trims and then let the car idle from cold until it is hot, and then another 5 minutes?

Have you checked Mode6 test information in OBD2 about your O2 sensors?

I do not have the funds to get a compression test as the stealership charges 200 sadly. I cleaned the Eshaft sensor a couple weeks ago but I will go back and do it again. I do not know how to reset the e-shaft sensor profile, the fuel trims, or the mode6 test but I will be sure to look up how to do those! Thank you very much

Cleaning the ESS without reseting the profile is moderately useless. They go hand in hand.

Keep in mind that just because you can't afford a compression test, that doesn't mean that compression isn't a problem. If nothing else works, that may be something you have to do to figure it out.

I did the 20 brake stomp and nothing seemed to work. So I used the Mazda zoom cleaner as I heard it should be the last step until one gives up and gets a rebuild, finished that and did the 20 brake stomp again it still acted the same through the smoke and after it was done smoking. I posted for help on other pages too and some people told me to drive it and I tried backing up out of my driveway when I stopped so I could put it in drive it died, I turned it back on put it in drive then went on driving and it slowly stopped making the misfiring noises and heaving I stopped at a stop sign and it didn't die either so I drove a little bit more and then pulled into my garage hoping everything was okay now, when moving through the gears to put it in park when I hit neutral it died in a heart beat what could that be now?

This doesn't make sense. It either reset the profile or it didn't. There isn't anything to "work" or "not work"

This tells us nothing. There are effective ways to decarb, and there are completely ineffective ways to decarb. I proved several of them with borescope pre-post testing.

None of his symptoms point to an alternator problem.

When the alternator fails, it usually just fries lots of expensive electronics.

Since you've replaced so many items and done anything I can think of.. Honestly I would try and save up your money over the next weeks and get that compression test :/
