2005 Automatic RX-8 Engine Not Starting, Need Help!
What To Upgrade First?
Should I upgrade the cooling system first or ignition system first? Should I get an AME cold air intake or keep the factory air box one? Just want to make sure I’m doing it right.
The intake should be last on the list, right next to "never". The best intake for this car is the stock intake. All the aftermarket intakes have the potential to cause problems. The two that are decent do not add enough power to be worth it; they are really just noise makers.
I am not sure if there is an aftermarket radiator for automatics. The AT and MT radiators are different, as the AT one has a portion in the bottom to cool the ATF.
Ignition upgrade is universal, so you can go for that. OEM Revision C, BHR, and SakeBomb are all good choices.
AEM CAI doesn't make any difference(2~3 HP at most) and costs about $400. The stock intake is fantastic in this car. Don't mod it in any way.
