2004 rx8 no cat someone with knowledge give me a straight answer
If you haven't yet, read this thread, plenty of useful info here:

So, the unasked question:
Why do you want to be hated by everybody in a 1/2 mile radius?
The other unasked question:
On a scale of 1 - 10, how old are you?
Also, you're going to hate your car at cruising speed. The drone will make your ears bleed.

That said, finding an aftermarket cat that actually survives the rotary heat is no easy task.
how about the unanswered questions, what specific pre mix brand and ratio would somebody recommend and what are some good Mazda tuning shops in pa.....it would be much appreciated if people would just answer the questions without the bullshit! We were all young and upcoming at one point without much knowledge, obviously I want to learn some stuff or I wouldn't be on here if I wanted to hear bullshit I would have drove to my local sheets gas station and asked all the uneducated hammer mechanics that walked through the door what their thoughts on the subject were
seriously **** you guys that are posting and aren't even answering the question with legit answers
thanks to the ones that actually gave some legit info

As for premix, if your stock OMP is intact, then half ounce per gallon should be sufficient. If you don't have OMP, then you may need a quart per gallon. Personally, I use Idemitsu Premix, but it can be hard to get. Any 2-stroke oil with JASO FC and ISO should be fine, really.
Billyrx8, a little advice:
You're new here as we all once were.
However, many of us began by respectfully asking questions seeking knowledge.
Your original post was demanding and smacked of ignorance, not a good way to start.
That's why the first responses you received (including mine) were not as helpful as you would have probably liked.
Since you replied earnestly without getting butthurt, I decided to help you, even though many of the questions you asked were easily answered with a simple Google search.
That in part is why you are still receiving curt replies, and your last post reverted back to the tenor of your first.
Honestly, I'm surprised you haven't received more hostile treatment.
When I first joined here 5 years ago there was a lot less tolerance for "noobs looking to be spoonfed".
Those perceived 'noobs' received very little help as opposed to those (like me) who asked questions respectfully, and were often given links to research as opposed to given outright 'spoonfed' answers.
Those who appeared to try to seek answers through searches as directed before asking
more questions (yes, we can tell) received more helpful answers than those who continued to ask common, easily answered questions.
I suggest you adjust your attitude before you alienate many more veteran members, several who have already responded to you, and I would think they now will be less inclined to offer any more assistance in the future.
I know I am.

Honestly, the best part about your thread is how demanding you come across.
Basically, when I read what you've typed, what I see is "I DEMAND YOU SPOON FEED ME INFORMATION BECAUSE I CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO READ AND LEARN. ALSO, DON'T TELL ME ANYTHING I DON'T WANT TO HEAR. ONLY THINGS I WANT TO HEAR."
So, right there, right off the bat, you've started on the wrong foot with most people.
Then, you're openly proclaiming that you want to drive around and make everybody else with an RX-8 look bad. Which, you know, is just awesome.
Finally, your response to people who know more than you (and they do because otherwise you wouldn't be demanding information from them) is angry scorn. Well, what did you expect?

Where in PA?
The only shop I know of that works on rotaries in PA is speed 1 and they hate rx8s.
Also I suggest you take BigC's advice and adjust your attitude.
Idemitsu premix, I run 1/2 oz per gallon.

Also, I'm in PA - its a big state. Where exactly are you located? I could give you some suggestions around the Philly area as that is what I am familiar with.
As everyone have said before, decat and no resonator is loud, extremely loud. Depending on where you live, you WILL get pulled over if you are not extremely careful. Mine is decat with TurboXS catback, their resonated midpipe is nice but their resonator will last you about 3 months or so, that's when it get ear piercing loud. I just added an auger style muffler insert and is more bearable, but have to weld it inside the midpipe to make sure it works as it should.
Also, read that link that BC just posted, then read it again about 10 more times, is like a bible for RX8 owners.

The bigger problem, IMO, is the frequency the rotary emits. If you have a loud, deep V8, it's not as bad as a loud, sharp and piercing rotary.
I think the general consensus here is that BHR mid-pipe is the best mid-pipe. It almost sounds like OEM, only a little bit deeper.
