Did it sit low before the shock change? What year is the car?

You're going to want to provide as much info as possible, most of us are not mind readers

Did they put the wrong struts in? I seem to remember that the 09-11 Series 2 has slightly shorter shocks on the back

^^ very possible. If you can look under the car read the part number, you should be able to find exactly what they put on there.

Are the springs original?
Did they confirm the previous shocks were actually finished?

Did you ever figure out why the the rear was bottoming out with new Bilstein B6's?

My rear stock shock is blown and was debating on putting in a set of B6's
