rear spoiler or not ?
hi
I am wondering how you guys think of Rx-8 Look with a rear spoiler or without rear spoiler? which one do you prefer?
I know for sure with or without it, the car is HOT!!!
Doesn't GT model come with the rear spoiler?
Thanks in advance~~

Totally subjective. Personally, I prefer the 8 without one—as ys2003 says, it restricts the view out the rear (in a car where rearward visibility is already poor).
As far as looks, with those elaborate taillights and all those badges, I've always thought the back of 8 is a a little too "busy". Adding a rear spoiler makes it even busier.
But if you like that racer-ish look…

The stock spoiler doesn't block any view(for me atleast), but as for better looks w/ or w/out, Im still undecided.

I like the look of the stock spoiler versus no spoiler. However, the larger aftermarket "wings" look like sh*t and like others have mentioned, it obstructs a lot of the rear view.

I prefer the looks without a spoiler. Things like that are necessary on race cars, but on a street car they always seemed like an affectation.
Never liked the looks of spoilers/wings on race cars. They're a lot more attractive than they used to be, but the change in F1 cars from wingless 1967 to winged 1968 was traumatic.
