I think it improves the profile quite a bit, but I wouldnt hesitate getting the MS spoiler if I could afford it. I think I honestly like some colors with spoiler and others without (I think at least)

I like the 8 with a spoiler and without.

On my 8 I have the Rotary Performance MS style spoiler.

I like how the carbon fiber keeps the spoiler from looking top heavy on the lighter colored car. I didn't want the spoiler to command attention when a person first looks at the car.

It is a visual effect like the side mirror covers that help make the mirrors appear smaller.

Mazdaspeed Spoiler is my choice, if I have the spare cash... my 8 is completely stock right now, with no spoiler no strakes... I always feel it's missing something...

Roll over is not a trick to teach your 8!

I looked through the blog of the guy who took the picture. Looks like nobody was hurt, but they didnt' say anything about how it happened other then it was at a car meet/ road trip of some sort.

Ouch. Not the best way to show off your CF driveshaft to your friends.

Here's another pro-spoiler vote.

As other's have said, the profile view of the car doesn't look quite right without it.

Versus...

What I might do is try it in black first, and then if I don't like that look I can get it painted.
